What to Expect at Your First Pest Control Visit
A first treatment looks different from every visit after it. Here's what our technicians actually do during that initial appointment.
Your first visit does more work than a standard quarterly treatment, because we’re establishing a baseline for your property rather than just maintaining one.
The walkthrough
Every first visit starts outside. Your technician walks the full perimeter, checking the foundation line, eaves, weep holes, and any visible entry points, and takes note of conditions that tend to attract pests — woodpiles against the house, mulch beds too close to the foundation, standing water.
The treatment
Exterior treatment focuses on creating a barrier around the home’s perimeter and knocking down existing nests or webs. If you’ve asked for interior service, your technician will treat kitchens, baths, and other pest-prone areas with a targeted application rather than a blanket spray.
What happens after
You’ll get a written summary of what was treated and any conditions worth addressing on your end, like grading or moisture issues. Most homeowners start seeing a noticeable drop in activity within the first one to two weeks. If you notice pests before your next scheduled visit, our general pest control plan includes a free re-service.
